baby shower question…..?

im 23 weeks and dont really have that much yet.some clothes and the furniture set but thats about it.but my mom keeps telling me i shouldnt buy anything because ill get alot at my baby shower but i feel like ill just be wasting time waiting.so my question is how much did u get at your shower & how many people did you have?(im only having about 20-25 ppl)

I just threw a shower for my sister in law last week. She registered at two stores. And she got a lot of stuff. She got lots of clothes, swings, the crib, a bouncer, a pack and play, bottles, diapers, and more. There was about 30-35 people there. Usually people do the baby shower a month before the baby’s due date. I would wait just to be on the safe side and if you need more stuff, you have a month to get it! :O)

I haven’t had mine yet, but my friend got SO much. She got 3 diaper bags. I would suggest a registery at some store. It avoids multiples.
I got everything i needed for for the first 3 months. If you want to buy stuff buy diapers for when the baby gets older. You will get a ton i mean a ton of clothes. I would wait for the shower because you will get a lot.
I had about 60 people at my shower. Prior to the shower, I couldn’t help but buy her some onesies and a few other pants outfits (it comes along with being a new mom!
) I suggest you have your baby shower early enough to be able to go buy the necessary items that you will need for the baby before he/she is born. Good luck! 
Wait! It’s worth it you get alot of stuff from all the people that’s going to come to the baby shower. Believe me I got so much stuff I didn’t have to buy anything for the first couple months. Besides what I wanted the baby to have and I didn’t want to duplicate anything when I could have spent my money on something else! LOL
for my 1st shower i had about 35 people and got everything i needed except for the crib! for my second its was called a sprinkle we kept it very small 15 people and just got clothes and little things if you want to buy things i say go ahead if you get duplicates of things you bought you can always exchange it for something else
I had a very small baby shower and got plenty of things! You should get LOTS with 20-25 people attending. You aren’t wasting time as long as you get everything you need before the baby’s arrival.
All my family live in Texas and i’m in Cali and we found out the babys sex about a week b4 our movers came bc we are moving to Hawaii so I couldnt have one… stunk but we will live
yes you get tons of stuff…..and whatever you dont get then you can go buy after right? then you will know for sure if you should get it blue or pink anyway! better to wait then to have 8 things the same!!
Do you attend a church or other social organization? Churches like the one I belong to tend to take care of their own, and their own’s own (ie almost everyone)
I would make a registry (ask for various sizes of clothing) and tell those who are coming to your shower about it. Then go for what is left. Most places will give you a discount when you go to complete your registry.
Well for me I had over 100 ppl at my babyshower BUT I was having twins and I had relatives come down from Sacramento and L.A. AND it was a co-ed babyshower!! I got LITTERALLY everything I would ever need for my babies the entire room was FILLED with there stuff and it took me 3 weeks to go through everything and make it all organized…then I had the babies 1 week later LOL but yeah 20-25 people is good you’ll get a lot I didn’t buy ANYTHING till AFTER I had my babyshower!! and the only things I bought where preemie cloths
Well, i just had mine on the week end and i only had 20 ppl there. To be honest i mainly got toys, and clothes. The things i really needed i got from family because it was easier to tell them what i still needed when THEY asked. I felt uncomfortable asking friends fto get things for me. But my mum was who the guests rsvp’d to and if they asked what i needed then i told her and she passed that on to the guests so i didnt have to ask them.
If your like me your getting impatient waiting for the baby shower, only wait and see if you get the things you need- i just went out and bought things if you end up with double maybe you can just keep one at the grandparents place when you go and visit them? You can never have too much of anything really.
So i still have to go out and buy things, which is what you will probably have to end up doing anyway.

There was 12 ppl at my shower, I had mine at 38 weeks so i had everything i needed but people bought me things like photo frames and playgyms books ect things that i didnt need but nice little extras. I found that a lot of people gave gifts after the baby was born any wayand the clothes that they bought were for latetr on when shes a bit older so she didnt have many clothes for the first 2 weeks.
